Domains and hosting
Every app runs in its own container with TLS switched on. Publish to a free appmake.ai address or connect a domain you own.
Your free address
When you publish for the first time, your app gets an address like lotus-yoga.appmake.ai. You can rename it in the project settings.
Connect your own domain
- 1Add the domainOpen Domains, click Add domain and type the domain, for example
lotusyoga.dk. - 2Add three records at your registrarAn
Arecord for the root, aCNAMEforwwwand aTXTrecord that proves the domain is yours. Copy the values from Appmake. - 3Wait for the checkAppmake checks the records for you. It usually takes a few minutes and can take up to a day.
- 4Go liveWhen the records are found, Appmake issues a certificate and your app is live on the domain.
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| A | @ | The IP address shown in Appmake |
| CNAME | www | edge.appmake.ai |
| TXT | _appmake | The verification code shown in Appmake |
TLS
Certificates are issued and renewed automatically for the domain and www. Visitors on http:// are sent to https://.
Publishing without downtime
When you publish, the new version starts next to the old one and traffic switches only after the tests pass. The previous version is kept warm, so a rollback takes seconds.
Each change also gets a private preview address you can share before publishing.
Settings and secrets
API keys and settings live per environment. Previews use test keys and the live app uses live keys. Keys are stored in an encrypted vault and are never shown in the chat or written into the code.
Logs
Every request and error is logged per app. Ask Appmake about an error in the chat and get the cause and a suggested fix in plain words.
